Mitre Tops the Chile League
Mitre has been storming ahead in Chile with its local partner securing the soccer kit sponsorship of eight leading teams.
Football in Chile is a strong force to be reckoned with in Latin America and beyond. Football was first brought to Chile by the British, exhibiting the sport during visits to the commercial ports. Today the sport is played by over 5 million people weekly (source, FIFA.com).
Earlier this season, Mitre signed deals with First Division teams Iquique, La Serena, O’Higgins, Curico, Rangers and Huachipato plust First Division B teams, S. Wanderers and Puerto Montt. Mitre is now the brand with the strongest presence in the Chilean Football League with Mitre logos emblazed on shirts, shorts and socks on the pitch plus all tracksuits and training kit.
