We are committed to supporting appropriate local charities and communities, through product and financial donations and other in kind support.
We donate new, surplus Pentland product - including apparel, footwear and equipment - to charity through the organisation In Kind Direct, established by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1996. Recent recipients of our products include charities that support young cancer patients, give homeless people education and training, and rehabilitate substance abusers. They use Pentland products to clothe those in need, and as gifts to raise spirits.
This partnership has environmental benefits too, because it prevents our excess stock from going
to landfill.
Staff across Pentland devote time to volunteer for local community organisations. For example, a team of employees at our office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, organises regular activities that include fundraising for a school for disadvantaged children, refurbishing a local primary school and tree planting.
Employees at our Glover warehouse in the north of England volunteer at the nearby Washington Wetland Centre, for example helping to conserve an area of meadow by cutting grass and removing hay. Meanwhile, staff at our London headquarters volunteer as mentors at local schools.
